The bourbon was distilled in the winter of 2008 using a mash bill of Kentucky corn and North Dakota wheat and malted barley. It aged for 12 years in warehouses C and I and is bottled at a barrel proof of 134.5.
The brand is named after the famous 19th century distiller William Larue Weller, who was the first to distill straight bourbon from wheat instead of rye.
This was bottled at 67.25% ABV as part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2020

Nose: Cherries, caramel, vanilla, toasted oak.
Palate: Soft caramel chew, spearmint, cinnamon.
Finish: Intense, long finish of coffee, floral, pepper and dry oak.
