Named after the Portuguese word for estate (quinta) and Gaelic for ruby (ruban), The Quinta Ruban is the darkest and richest expression in Glenmorangie's core Extra Matured range. Distilled in Tain using Scotland's tallest copper pot stills, the spirit begins with ten years of maturation in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to specially selected Ruby Port pipes from the Douro Valley in Portugal for an additional four years of secondary aging. Increased from its original 12-year age statement to 14 years, it is bottled non-chill filtered at 46% ABV.

Opens with dark mint chocolate, Seville orange, sweet walnuts, and red berry jam, expanding on the palate into velvet-smooth dark plum, Turkish delight, spicy nutmeg, and rich espresso, before finishing with a long, luxurious wave of dark chocolate, berry tart, and lingering oak spice.
